55 Years at Clarks!

Ron recently celebrated 55 years with Clarks! He currently works as a Store Associate at our store in the King of Prussia Mall in Pennsylvania but has held a variety of roles within our Retail team. We are very fortunate to have him in the Clarks family! 

Ron shared with us some of his insights gained over five-and-a-half decades with Clarks: 

Can you tell us about the start to your Clarks journey? 

I started on a Saturday at 12th and Market Street in the heart of the Philadelphia business district. It was one of the busiest stores in the chain so I had to hit the ground running. I learned skills there that I use to this day.

Three things I've learned over the past 55 years with Clarks are... 

Customer service is number one. Always work as a team. And I always tried to create a positive aura so my people would want to be the best they could be. 

What is your favourite Clarks shoe (past or present or both)? 

I think that the Unstructured shoes are some of the best shoes Clarks ever made. I have about six pairs. Wait, then we have the Desert Boot!

​Do you have any advice for an employee who is just coming into the business? 

Providing customer service is number one. Always try to excel and strive to be the best you can be. Then you will succeed. And when you achieve this, always strive to have yourself held in high regard. ​

What are you most excited about for your years to come with Clarks? 

To continue to use the skills and dedication I have to help my store to reach new heights.
