The role

Hybrid working mix of home and office.

You’ll deliver weekly and period-end reporting across our entire organisation. Profit & loss for the Group and all regions as well as KPI, branch profit and compliance reporting. The work you’ll do will provide us with total visibility of how we’re performing as a business and help determine the direction of future change.

As you do this, you’ll work closely with other functions—in particular our Data Analytics team—to ensure accuracy of reporting and knowledge of data sources. You’ll also support budget and forecast cycles by ensuring data is correctly loaded onto our system.

Well and truly in-the-know when it comes to Group finances, you’ll take on ad hoc tasks and contribute your expertise to finance projects when needed. Collaborating and supporting right across the business, you’ll help drive a culture of constant improvement in our reporting. And, in a role like this, you’ll get to see first-hand the amazing difference you are making.

A bit about you

You’ll be a part-qualified ACCA/CIMA accountant (or equivalent) and, ideally, this won’t be the first time you’ll have worked for a global retailer like Clarks. If it is, you’ll nevertheless have experience with large data sets and be able to manipulate them to gain value-added insight. You’ll also have a good understanding of the factors driving sales and profit as well as the high standard of accuracy expected at world-leading multinational businesses. And, of course, you’ll know SAP BW and Excel inside out.

It’s also important that you’ll fit in with our culture here. We’re changing right now, which means you’ll need to be flexible in your approach and quick to adapt to new ways of working. You’ll also want to be a part of that change and won’t hold back in communicating ideas you think will make us better—as well as listening to those of others in your team. That’s how you’ll become a valued member of our team and take your already outstanding record of delivery to the next level.

About Clarks

Clarks, based in Somerset, England, has been at the forefront of innovative shoemaking since its foundation in 1825, when brothers James and Cyrus Clark made a slipper from sheepskin off-cuts. At the time it was ground-breaking; a combination of invention and craftsmanship that’s remained at the heart of what the brand does now.

In the Clarks archive of more than 22,000 pairs are shoes that have sparked revolutions and defined generations. From the original Clarks Desert Boot, first designed by Nathan Clark and launched in 1950 to the iconic Wallabee, each design has an instantly recognisable signature – a unique combination of craftsmanship and innovation that make it unmistakably Clarks.

Underpinned by a rich heritage and strong values, Clarks is a leading global footwear brand serving millions of consumers across the world, operating retail, wholesale, franchise and online channels in over 100 markets worldwide supported by nearly 6,000 employees across the world.

In February 2021, Clarks entered a new chapter in its history as it formed a partnership with LionRock Capital, positioning the iconic footwear brand for future success as it enters its third century.
