Hybrid working mix of home and office.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the programme of projects that comprise major business change here at Clarks. You’ll develop and maintain programme roadmaps that determine the direction of change and ensure that projects have the resources they need to succeed.
Flagging and prioritising critical issues as they occur, you’ll provide expertise and support to resolve them. Plus, with the targeted support you’ll offer, you’ll be proactive in stimulating project momentum to ensure that delivery is aligned with the wider organisation. With an overhead perspective on all business change projects, your change management and communication plans will ensure they deliver cohesive change.
A ‘Critical Friend’ to the IT department, you’ll direct solution blueprint design and delivery of the required solutions, including testing. When appropriate, you’ll also manage the selection of software solutions and third-party implementation partners. As one of the main agents of business change here your positive impact will be felt globally at Clarks.
A bit about you
With significant experience in a similar-level management role within retail, when it comes to programme management, your proven track record of delivering complex and cross-functional global programmes and projects will be vital here. You’ll also have good overall knowledge of the role IT plays in business change as well as strong commercial awareness and retail industry specific knowledge. You will have built up extensive experience in recognised project and programme management delivery methodologies and have recognised accreditation in project and Programme Management.
Just as important is your fit for our culture here. You’ll be a key agent of change and that means having the kind of collaborative and creative leadership style that will make you an influential ambassador for Clarks. Part of that is being confident with senior leaders and willing to speak out against the status quo to challenge our organisation and project owners to ensure expected outcomes are delivered. As you lead future successes here, you’ll put your name to some serious achievements and earn some equally great rewards in the process.
Clarks, based in Somerset, England, has been at the forefront of innovative shoemaking since its foundation in 1825, when brothers James and Cyrus Clark made a slipper from sheepskin off-cuts. At the time it was ground-breaking; a combination of invention and craftsmanship that’s remained at the heart of what the brand does now.
In the Clarks archive of more than 22,000 pairs are shoes that have sparked revolutions and defined generations. From the original Clarks Desert Boot, first designed by Nathan Clark and launched in 1950 to the iconic Wallabee, each design has an instantly recognisable signature – a unique combination of craftsmanship and innovation that make it unmistakably Clarks.
Underpinned by a rich heritage and strong values, Clarks is a leading global footwear brand serving millions of consumers across the world, operating retail, wholesale, franchise and online channels in over 100 markets worldwide supported by nearly 6,000 employees across the world.
In February 2021, Clarks entered a new chapter in its history as it formed a partnership with LionRock Capital, positioning the iconic footwear brand for future success as it enters its third century.
