The role

We know how we need our business to run and we have a plan to get there. But how we do that from an IT perspective will be down to our new Solutions Architect. So, for you, it’s all about understanding our objectives and then implementing the necessary IT solutions that will ensure we succeed. The link that takes business requirements and translates them into core technical needs for today, as well as creating the foundations and architectural roadmaps for the future. That means being immersed in all the latest tech solutions and being highly literate in the tech market. So that when it comes to setting up CRMs, Ecommerce platforms, or Order management systems you can always find the most strategic and cost-effective solution.

The success of a major project like the one you’ll undertake here depends on thorough planning. That’s why defining your strategy and how it will help us achieve our strategic aims is a huge part of what you’ll do. Especially when it comes to migration on the scale you’ll find here. And, because your strategy will have cross-functional impact, you’ll often find yourself explaining it to non-technical audiences. Because we can only achieve our goals by moving forward as one organisation, with everyone on board. And the changes you implement will demonstrate just how strong that team can be.

A bit about you

You’re someone who connects. And we’re not just talking about IT systems. You connect with others in your team and throughout the business and bring about a collaborative approach to strategy implementation. And you’re a great communicator who can ‘sell’ their strategy to non-technical audiences. Someone who can understand the finer technical details of many SAP ERP Modules , the HANA platform, BTP and turn it into user-friendly solutions that improve life for your colleagues and our customers.

And that’s why your skills stand out. Because you can reconcile the technical with the practical. And, no matter how much you’ll be relied on for high-level conceptual thinking and ideas, you’ll always want to take a hands-on approach when implementing the strategies, you’ve devised. You’ve not only got the skills and knowledge of languages like UML, BPMN an ArchiMate, but you want to use them too. It’s that relentless dedication to implementation you’ve built your career on – successfully completing major architecture and modelling projects in the Ecommerce sector.

You’ll also have experience with frameworks such as TOGAF, PEAF and Zachman as well as project managing methods such like SAFE, SCRUM, DSDM and PRINCE2. As well as a good, relevant degree. That’s because you’re someone who cares about knowledge. You’ve spent your career accumulating it and you’ve seen the benefits it can bring when it’s shared. With the work you do here, you’ll bring that benefit on a global scale – and reap the rewards.

About Clarks

Clarks, based in Somerset, England, has been at the forefront of innovative shoemaking since its foundation in 1825, when brothers James and Cyrus Clark made a slipper from sheepskin off-cuts. At the time it was ground-breaking; a combination of invention and craftsmanship that’s remained at the heart of what the brand does now.

In the Clarks archive of more than 22,000 pairs are shoes that have sparked revolutions and defined generations. From the original Clarks Desert Boot, first designed by Nathan Clark and launched in 1950 to the iconic Wallabee, each design has an instantly recognisable signature – a unique combination of craftsmanship and innovation that make it unmistakably Clarks.

Underpinned by a rich heritage and strong values, Clarks is a leading global footwear brand serving millions of consumers across the world, operating retail, wholesale, franchise and online channels in over 100 markets worldwide supported by nearly 6,000 employees across the world.

In February 2021, Clarks entered a new chapter in its history as it formed a partnership with LionRock Capital, positioning the iconic footwear brand for future success as it enters its third century.
