Supporting the Head of Business Applications and SAP ABAP Lead, the business programmes you’ll develop will help write the future here. As a reputed expert, you’ll push yourself to the limits of developing, coding and documenting a broad spectrum of testing activities.
The SAP ABAP team is critical to developing and maintaining the SAP estate within Clarks both from a project implementation perspective as well as small change and Keep The Lights On activities.
Working alongside a team of developers, you’ll make sure that our new programmes do what they’re supposed to and provide the best quality service for users. You’ll also be the first port of call when it comes to providing solutions to any issue with business applications. That’s if you didn’t identify the problem in the first place, which you’ll always be looking to do.

You’ll have the skills and expertise to inspire others with the SAP programmes you develop. Your track record in analysing and delivering solutions in a similar environment will see to that. What’s more, you’ll be up to speed on the latest technological developments in the industry.
As well as being a respected, creative problem solver, you’ll also be able to communicate those complex solutions in simple language that non-technical audiences can understand.
An accomplished, credible, and respected SAP Developer with well-developed communication, influencing and negotiation skills gained in a complex organisation undergoing significant transformation.
Strong and credible personality, able to pull people together across different services and systems and motivate them to deliver common aims and targets.
Good understanding of developing trends in the industry and related technologies to provide a context for the development of any future strategy, for example, Automated Test tools.
Strong analytical and conceptual reasoning skills and highly effective communication skills – ability to articulate complex issues and concepts to a wide range of recipients both written and verbally.
Act as the technical expert, ensuring quick turnaround in identifying application issues and providing timely solutions.
Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing and implementation phases of project.
Transform business function requirements into technical program specs to code, test, and debug programs.
Develop, code, document and execute unit tests, systems, integration, and acceptance tests and testing tools for functions of high complexity.
Ability to engage other technical team members in the design, delivery, and deployment of solutions.
Undertake performance tuning activities for SAP developments both for existing code and newly developed solutions.
Provide consulting services on new and existing initiatives on developments for 3rd party delivery.
