Commercial Finance Lead - EMEA
Clarks shoes have been defining high street fashion for almost 200 years. Just because our brand has an amazing history, though, that doesn’t mean we’re not looking to the future. As our brand continues to gain new customers around the globe, we need a Commercial Finance Lead to help mastermind a £multi-million operation. If you’re a qualified accountant, your skills could be game-changing.
With a turnover of £120m, the EMEA region is hugely important to Clarks. As Commercial Finance Lead, you’ll partner our European MD and leaders, providing expert insight and helping to steer the business to further success. Taking on a key role, you’ll deliver our financial and risk management framework for the region, supporting all EMEA channels. Forecasting, budgeting, targets – you’ll develop our plans and be on top of all the figures.
You’ll also have the chance to shape our investment strategies so they bring maximum returns. And of course, there’ll be overheads and costs to scrutinise. But as an experienced business partner, these are exactly the kind of challenges that make you spring out of bed in the morning. You thrive on encouraging better performance, influencing leaders and helping businesses to make the right financial decisions.
A bit about you
At this level, you really need to know your stuff. A qualified accountant, you’ll have in-depth knowledge of planning, budgeting and forecasting processes gained in Retail or Consumer Goods. You’ll also have worked as a commercial finance business partner, dealing with senior leaders every day. So, you’ll know about building relationships and bringing valuable insight to commercial decision-making. Add to this some excellent analytical skills, and you’ll be exactly the kind of expert we need: confident and capable, with sound financial judgment.
Life with us
Over 46 million pairs of Clarks shoes are sold globally. That makes us a £1.5 billion business and a truly worldwide brand. We now have some 12,000 employees across 75 different countries – everywhere from Europe to the Americas. Despite being the world’s leading global casual footwear brand, we’re still majority owned by the Clark family and based in Street, Somerset – where the Clarks business began. Street is the nerve centre of our business, driving growth and the whole Clarks success story.
