We’re well known for our unique vision of footwear retail – always changing but, when it comes to quality and style, always uniquely and identifiably Clarks. As Finance Manager here, you’ll carry that vision with you as you review all Finance department processes – devising and implementing strategies that steepen the trajectory of our improvement. So that we’re always getting a more detailed, more insightful and more accurate picture of our accounts and finances.
For a creative and inspiring Finance Manager, this is a dream opportunity and your chance to put your ideas into practice in a fast-paced environment that really values innovation. Yes, you’ll be leading accounting for global overheads and maintaining asset master data. And, of course, your monitoring of accounting records and foreign currency will be nothing short of expert. But where you’ll really have an impact is in the way you inspire your team and spread your amazing knowledge throughout the organisation.
By collaborating with others at various levels of the business and being a key participant in the exchange of knowledge at Clarks, you’ll help develop the culture of continuous improvement that will see you routinely maxing-out and redefining KPIs. When you align processes and teams in that way, you’ll achieve some amazing things and you’ll be playing a major part in taking a world famous business – and your career – to new heights.
A bit about you
Leading a medium-large sized team isn’t for everyone. But it’s something you excel at. Because you’ve got drive and passion for what you do. And you’ve got a track record that vouches for the fact that you’re someone experienced in SSC environments – with rock-solid judgement, attention to detail, and boundless knowledge. That kind of clout will give you serious influence here as you communicate with colleagues throughout the organisation and inspire your Finance teams to achieve more in everything they do. Following the example you set in technical competence, they’ll want to be more precise, more accurate and better organised – you’ll make it part of the culture.
This is a role for someone with real ambitions for their Finance career. A qualified ACA, ACCA, or AMCA accountant who can wield their thorough understanding of SAP Financials and associated reporting structures whilst taking a free-thinking, agile approach to everyday issues just as readily as they can to managing audits. And, whatever the task in hand, you’re someone who always has one eye on how you might improve processes and boost accuracy. . It’s what’s made you an asset to Finance departments of similar-sized organisations in previous roles. Join Clarks and you’ll truly get the recognition and rewards your work deserves.
Clarks, based in Somerset, England, has been at the forefront of innovative shoemaking since its foundation in 1825, when brothers James and Cyrus Clark made a slipper from sheepskin off-cuts. At the time it was ground-breaking; a combination of invention and craftsmanship that’s remained at the heart of what the brand does now.
In the Clarks archive of more than 22,000 pairs are shoes that have sparked revolutions and defined generations. From the original Clarks Desert Boot, first designed by Nathan Clark and launched in 1950 to the iconic Wallabee, each design has an instantly recognisable signature – a unique combination of craftsmanship and innovation that make it unmistakably Clarks.
Clarks is a global business operating retail, wholesale, franchise and online channels in over 100 markets worldwide supported by nearly 10,000 employees across the world.
We’ve already told you about the degree of flexibility you’ll enjoy as a valued addition to our business – but that’s just the start. As well as development opportunities, pension and a competitive salary, you’ll also enjoy a variety of other benefits. And, as everyone loves new shoes, you’ll also get a very healthy discount on our products.
