We are looking for someone with a real passion for cybersecurity to join us as Head of Security and IT Risk Management who can continue to implement and expand our current cybersecurity capabilities.
We’re not looking for someone to fit into a standard risk management role. What’s important is that you take an effective approach to proactively identify any security and/or IT threats and risks, develop effective mitigation practices and oversee their implementation so that Clarks can avoid disruption to its technology, processes and people.
You will also work across IT and business functions to secure funding for new projects as needed, and with our Senior Executives to influence decisions and improve our cyber and IT compliance position.
Rest assured, you won’t be doing this alone; you will work with business colleagues, suppliers and partners. You will be expected to develop and mentor our cybersecurity team and work with our Cyber Defence Centre.
A highly skilled cybersecurity professional, you will be able to demonstrate significant experience in improving levels of cybersecurity using data-driven threat modelling and risk management. Excellent influencing skills coupled with the ability to build strong business relationships with senior stakeholders and gain engagement for the delivery of positive results are also required. You will be willing to challenge the ‘norm’ and build credibility both inside and outside our organisation.
Life with us
Over 46 million pairs of Clarks shoes are sold globally. That makes us a £1.5 billion business and a truly worldwide brand. We now have some 12,000 employees across 75 different countries – everywhere from Europe to the Americas. Despite being the world’s leading global casual footwear brand, we’re still majority owned by the Clark family and based in Street, Somerset – where the Clarks business began. Street is the nerve centre of our business, driving growth and the whole Clarks success story.
Clarks, based in Somerset, England, has been at the forefront of innovative shoemaking since its foundation in 1825, when brothers James and Cyrus Clark made a slipper from sheepskin off-cuts. At the time it was ground-breaking; a combination of invention and craftsmanship that’s remained at the heart of what the brand does now.
In the Clarks archive of more than 22,000 pairs are shoes that have sparked revolutions and defined generations. From the original Clarks Desert Boot, first designed by Nathan Clark and launched in 1950 to the iconic Wallabee, each design has an instantly recognisable signature – a unique combination of craftsmanship and innovation that make it unmistakably Clarks.
As well as development opportunities, pension and a competitive salary, you’ll also enjoy a variety of benefits. As everyone loves new shoes, you’ll also get a very healthy discount on our products.
