Working here

Join us and you’ll be part of a £1.6 billion business. One that operates in over 75 countries and employs over 15,000 people worldwide. As a Team Leader in one of our stores, you’ll be the driving force behind success on the shop floor, encouraging staff to give great service and promote an iconic brand.

The role

Being a great Team Leader means being a great role model. You’ll give amazing customer service and show everyone how it’s done. Helping customers, encouraging staff, keeping everything ship-shape and smart – there’s plenty to think about in our stores. At Clarks we are known for our great customer service, ensuring every customer leaves our store with a thorough knowledge of the shoes they have purchased. Your role will be to ensure your team is fully equipped to deliver these service standards. To make sure the team has everything covered, you’ll provide top notch support, coaching and guidance. You’ll allocate staff to the right places at the right times and make sure every customer is being served. To drive sales, you’ll give regular feedback on performance to your team and deliver training and coaching on sales behaviours, product knowledge and much more.

About you

An experienced Team Leader you will be looking to further develop into a management role, or to build on skills you already have in place. Coming from a Retail background, you need to be keen and willing to learn – but if you’ve got that drive, there’s no telling how far you could go. The important thing is that you’re great with people and a natural at sales. With pep talks and coaching, you’ll inspire your team to boost profits and knock customers’ socks off every day. An interest in footwear and fashion will of course be an advantage.

Life with us

Every 60 seconds, 105 pairs of Clarks shoes are sold globally. That makes us a £1.6 billion business and a truly worldwide brand. We now have some 15,000 employees across 75 different countries – everywhere from Europe to the Americas. Despite being the world’s biggest everyday footwear brand (by sale volume), we’re still owned by the Clarks family and based in Street, Somerset – where the Clarks business began. Street is the nerve centre of our business, driving growth and the whole Clarks success story.

The benefits

As well as a rewarding career, development opportunities and a competitive salary, you’ll also enjoy a generous holiday allowance and the opportunity to join the company pension scheme.
