The Role
In this role you’ll own all aspects of Corporate and Operations procurement that includes directing and leading the strategy and planning for the Corporate category to deliver competitive advantage for Clarks through cost savings, lifecycle value generation, demand management and innovation. With deep category knowledge, this will be achieved through the creation and continual review of robust and forward-looking category plans, the execution of the plans and the achievement of savings. The role will develop influential senior level relationships across business units including ownership of the procurement compliance. This is a key strategic role with the expectation of delivery by yourself and your two direct reports.
As well as the BAU role, you will also play an instrumental part in the overall procurement transformation, through leading the selection and implementation of better purchasing systems and on-going continuous improvement across procurement operations.

About you:
- MCIPS or equivalent experience
Extensive experience of corporate procurement categories, including category management, supplier relationship and performance management. Building and delivering financial benefits from supplier relationships
Extensive experience of working with business units to align the business strategy and roadmaps.
Experience of working in a global matrix organisation
Confidence and credibility with excellent communication and relationship management skills with the ability to engage and influence senior level stakeholders
Sustains personal energy, self-motivation and productivity and encourages good resilience in others.
Identifies and raises opportunities and/or challenges
Actively removes complexity
Proven ability to solve problems and to drive decision making
Strong negotiation skills
