It's a big job, but an incredible exciting, varied and challenging one. You will support the Merchandiser in analysing and evaluating commercial data including sales and margin, identifying trends, ensuring the right shoes appear in the right places at the right times. Working closely with the European Merchandising and Sales Teams you will have the opportunity to build a variety of relationships across the European region and wider business.
We'll give you that all-important introduction to merchandising, plus a solid grounding in our business. From there, you'll have every chance to develop your skills and your career, helping you to work through the ranks from Assistant Merchandiser to Merchandiser to, one day, Senior Merchandiser.
So, what do you need to bring? You’ll need to be adaptable, approachable, not to mention quick to pick things up and understand how we work. With a keen eye for detail, it’s important that you have a head for figures so you are able to identify numeric trends and have advanced MS Excel skills. You’ll also demonstrate good analytical skills, a flair for commercial acumen and an unwavering customer focus. Previous assistant Merchandising experience would be desirable. You will be comfortable working independently and across lots of other functions in the business. Working for a global business you’ll want to build relationships across various markets and levels of stakeholder. There will be occasional travel within Europe to help you achieve this. Like everyone here at Clarks, you’re dedicated and driven, committed to be the best you can be.
Life with us
Every 60 seconds, 105 pairs of Clarks shoes are sold globally. That makes us a £1.6 billion business and a truly worldwide brand. We now have some 15,000 employees across 75 different countries – everywhere from Europe to the Americas. Despite being the world’s biggest everyday footwear brand (by sale volume), we’re still owned by the Clarks family and based in Street, Somerset – where the Clarks business began. Street is the nerve centre of our business, driving growth and the whole Clarks success story.
As well as development opportunities, pension and a competitive salary, you’ll also enjoy a variety of benefits. These range from 25 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays) to discounted healthcare. And, as everyone loves new shoes, you’ll also get a very healthy discount on our products.
We love hearing from great people
