The role

We are building a powerful in-house creative agency at the heart of the Clarks business. And at the heart of this new agency? Our Creative team, including you, our Junior Designer (Colour and Graphics) and you’ll play a huge role in taking our shoes from concept to customer. Working with the Brand Concept team and designers, you’ll help build seasonal colour and material palettes as you provide relevant material, colour and graphic trend information and direction. But that’s not all. We’ll also look to you to drive the category colour strategy and application, collaborating with the design team to select colours and graphics for new projects. It’s an incredible opportunity to use your colour and graphics expertise to help us deliver exciting new product ranges for our customers.

A bit about you

Along with your proven creative ability and open-minded attitude, you’ll need at least three years’ experience in colour and materials design to join us. Not only will you bring a refined eye for trims, finishes and textures, but you’ll also come armed with a wealth of experience of print and graphic design and execution. A good knowledge of Adobe creative suite and basic knowledge of footwear construction is key, as is knowledge of materials processing relating to footwear construction. Comfortable working to deadlines, you’ll be able to manage your time extremely well and know how to prioritise your workload. And it goes without saying that you’ll also need to be able to work with people across different job functions and be comfortable sharing your opinion and receiving constructive feedback.

We'd love to see examples of your work, so please include samples of your portfolio and/or links to your personal website with your application

Life with us

Every 60 seconds, 105 pairs of Clarks shoes are sold globally. That makes us a £1.6 billion business and a truly worldwide brand. We now have some 15,000 employees across 75 different countries – everywhere from Europe to the Americas. Despite being the world’s biggest everyday footwear brand (by sale volume), we’re still majority owned by the Clarks family and based in Street, Somerset – where the Clarks business began. Street is the nerve centre of our business, driving growth and the whole Clarks success story.

The benefits

As well as a rewarding career, development opportunities and a competitive salary, you’ll also enjoy a generous holiday allowance and the opportunity to join the company pension scheme.
