Spotlight on a ... Merchandiser
As a Merchandiser, it’s all about making sure that the right stock is in the right place at the right time. It’s a big logistical challenge, especially when you consider that we’ll have more than a thousand stores across the world by the end of 2011. And, as you can imagine, it takes quite a skill set to make it happen.
A head for figures, the ability to analyse data and identify and manage stock risk, not to mention commercial flair to maximise sales opportunities. You’ll be involved in range building, forecasting demand, analysing trade, managing stock and planning promotions. Variety’s a daily occurrence for our Merchandisers.
Expect to travel around too, in the UK and overseas. Lots of our Merchandisers are involved in the International Store Expansion programme, helping to make our ambitious international growth plans an on-the-ground reality.
